Queen Elsa had ruled Arendelle with her icy crown, but lately, she’d grown tired of her simple, elegant dresses. She yearned for something fresh, somethingbold—something hers.

One morning, she stood before a mirror, trying on one leotard after another: red, like love in bloom; gold, as radiant as her coronation day; blue to match the sea. Each color made her feel different. She twirled and swished, savoring each.

Finally, she chose purple this time, shimmering like twilight. Then came the cutout that exposed her. It added a touch of daring to her silhouette. She loved it. The fabric felt smooth against her skin. She twirled once more before stepping outside.

The crunch of snow beneath her feet—she was barefoot, but the cold never bothered her, anyway. The wind in her hair. She was confident now, yet… she hoped no one would see her little secret.

Elsa smiled as she walked. This was just her, for now.
